RALPH EGGLESTON

Ralp Egglesteon is the leading production designer at Pixar Animation Studios. Eggelston has contributed in different roles on legendary features like 'Toy Story', 'Monsters Inc', 'Finding Nemo', 'Wall•E' and 'Up'. He has been central in the development of Pixar's unique style, and was awarded an Oscar in 2001 for his Pixar-short 'For the Birds'.
Ralph Eggleston studied at the Character Animation program at the California Institute of the Arts, before he began his career as a freelance animator and designer on various small projects, including commercials, television, movie titles, and various “special projects” for numerous companies. He first joined Pixar Animation Studios in 1992 as art director on 'Toy Story', a film that earned him the International Animated Film Society’s Annie Award for Best Art Direction. He has also contributed to the development of several feature films both at Pixar and elsewhere in the industry.
