ANTTI LAKSO



Antti Laakso, born in Finland in 1982, graduated from Turku Arts Academy's animation department in 2008. His graduation film, The Last Elephant, has won several awards, including Fredrikstad Animation Festival's own Golden Gunnar award for best Nordic-baltic Student film at Fredrikstad in 2008, best student film at Balkanima animation festival in 2009, and best student film at Blue Sea Film Festival in 2009.

Laakso continues to live in Turku, Finland, where he has been working with different animation projects after his graduation. He says that professionally, the most exciting job he has had so far was being a storyboard artist for a stop-motion feature film. Currently he is planning and making tests for his next personal short film.
