PROFILE

Fredrikstad Animation Festival is organized by the Norwegian Animation Forum.

 

The object of the forum is:

• To promote screening of animation and increase the awareness of animated expressions in the Nordic-Baltic countries.
• To organize competition programmes for nordic and baltic animation.
• To be an arena for nordic and baltic animators.
• To promote dialogue between moviemakers, cartoonists, designers, artists and audience.
• To organize seminars, workshops and masterclasses.

 

The Nordic-Baltic Competition

The heart of the festival is our Nordic and Baltic competition and the Golden Gunnar Award.

Nominates to Cartoon d´ Or

Fredrikstad Animation Festival is one out of nine European festivals which are obliged to nominate film to the prestigeous Cartoon dÓr.
